SAEDF’s Investment is concentrated, but not limited to, providing expansion capital in the form of equity and equity-like instruments to finance the growth of indigenous entrepreneurs with established SME businesses.

SAEDF seeks to take equity positions in investee companies in order to effect change – adding value by introducing good business practices; sound financial controls; developing executable business strategies; improving marketing strategy – with the goal of capturing capital appreciation on exit through management buyouts, trade sales and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on local and international exchanges.

SAEDF’s industry focus is industrial manufacturing, financial services, real-estate, telecommunications/ICT and natural resources (services).

SAEDF invests in a variety of transaction types including:

Leveraged buy-outs and buy-ins
Public Private Partnership (Privatisation)
Turnarounds
